This notice covers Meditationsgong on Android and iOS. The app is a meditation timer, not a medical device, and does not provide medical or therapeutic advice. Data flows depend on your platform and settings.

2. Data in the app

Both apps process timer settings, active meditations and a history containing the date, duration and any note you choose to write. This version has no EsperoTech account, ads or behavioural analytics. On Android, this content stays on the device; the app has no Internet permission. Android backup is disabled for the app.

3. iOS and iCloud

On iOS, the app keeps settings and meditation history locally first. If iCloud is available for the app on your device, it syncs these data through Apple's iCloud key-value store to devices using the same Apple Account. History can include your optional free-text notes. An active meditation remains on the device where it was started. EsperoTech does not operate a separate sync server and cannot directly access your iCloud storage. Please refer to Apple's privacy information for Apple's processing. If you do not want to use iCloud for the app, check your device's iCloud settings.

4. Optional Apple Health

Only if you connect Apple Health in the iOS app and grant permission does the app sync your own meditations as mindful sessions with Apple Health. It uses their start and end times, duration and technical identifiers for matching entries; it does not write your free-text notes to Apple Health. You can revoke permission in iOS. Processing in Apple Health and any Health sync via iCloud also depend on your Apple settings.

5. Optional technical diagnostics on iOS

The iOS app includes a technical-diagnostics option that is off by default. If enabled, the app may send limited technical-operation errors to Sentry at a US endpoint: operation type, technical error codes, app version and build. The code excludes names, notes, meditation history and invitation links from the event payload. Automatic session, performance, network and crash capture are disabled. You can turn the option off again in the app. The provider's final retention period still needs verification before a public iOS release.

6. Storage and deletion

You can edit or delete history entries in the app. Uninstalling on Android deletes local app data. On iOS, uninstalling locally may leave synced data in iCloud or sessions already saved in Apple Health; you may need to manage those separately in your Apple settings or Apple Health. EsperoTech cannot read or correct local or iCloud-stored app content for you.

7. Device functions and external services

Android uses a foreground media-playback service for gongs when the screen is locked and does not request health, camera or microphone access. Opening an external link hands further processing to your browser. This site has separate website privacy information. Distribution through Google Play or the App Store also involves processing by Google or Apple respectively.

8. Your rights and changes

For questions or requests for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability, contact info@espero.tech. You can also complain to a data protection authority. Where data reside only on your device or in your Apple Account, you will need to make changes there. We will update this notice before material changes to features or data flows.
